Honey bees may be small, but their impact is enormous. Kathy Balestrier from The Colony in Tyngsborough, MA will be here to talk all about our friends, the honeybees. In this engaging, image-rich presentation, we will explore the honey bee’s life inside the hive and out in the field—from the remarkable roles of the queen, workers, and drones to the ingenious ways bees share information, find food, and keep a colony thriving. You will also learn how bees create honey and wax, why pollination matters to gardens and agriculture, and what everyone can do to support pollinators at home.
