Brewster's Woods Wildlife Sanctuary — Balls Hill Rd., Concord, MA
As daylight fades, uncover the mysteries of the night with a guided search for owls. Start just outside the visitor center to look at samples of owl wings, skulls, talons, and feathers, learning about the adaptations that make them master nocturnal hunters. Learn the tips and tricks of how to find and identify them, then head out into the fields and forests at dusk to look and listen for our resident Barred, Great Horned, and Eastern Screech-owls. Find out how you can get involved in helping protect our resident owls, including Mass Audubon's Rescue Raptors campaign, which advocates for ending harmful rodenticide use. This program takes place at Brewster's Woods Wildlife Sanctuary in Concord. Expect to walk on fields and wooded trails in full darkness. More details on what to bring and expect will be emailed to you ahead of the program.
