Today we're fixing stuff! Well, we're giving it our best try! Join us today for Charlton's Inaugural Repair Café! If you have something that is broken and you'd like to come and have it fixed please register below. You can come anytime between 10 am and 2 pm and our fixers will do their best to fix it. You must be able to carry your item in by yourself and you must stay with your item. Registration is not required, we will do our best to accommodate walk-ins. Fixers are available for the following categories: Bicycle, Small Appliance, Sewing Machine (not gears or programming issues), Stringed Instrument, Fabric (Clothes/stuffed animals/dog toys), Computer/Information Technology, Knife Sharpening, Jewelry, Wood, General Small Repairs, Simple electronics What is a Repair Café? A Repair Café is a gathering of volunteers who offer to consult on and possibly fix items that would otherwise go to landfills. The Repair Café concept is an attempt to reverse our society’s throw away culture. We throw out vast amounts of stuff. Even things with almost nothing wrong and which just need a simple repair.
