This month we will be discussing Frankenstein in Baghdad by Ahmed Saadawi Ahmed Saadawi's novel Frankenstein in Baghdad (فرانكشتاين في بغداد) was originally published in Arabic in 2013. In 2018 it was translated to English by Jonathan Wright. Frankenstein in Baghdad is a direct, modern wartime reimagining of Mary Shelley's 1818 classic Frankenstein .
