Ralph Farris and Divergent Trio | The Glass Age | Faculty Artist Recital Every age an age of glass. Anna Maria Hong’s poem receives its first musical setting from Alexandra du Bois, chair of Longy’s composition department, in a world premiere written for Divergent Trio. The trio, Longy’s faculty ensemble and Divergent Studio’s trio-in-residence, is soprano, viola, and piano: a quietly sizzling combination. Also on the program, Tina Davidson’s contribution to the AIDS Quilt Songbook and fresh work by young composers from the Divergent Studio sessions. New voices sharing a stage with the songbook that made room for them. Corrine Byrne, soprano. Ralph Farris, viola. Donald Berman, piano.
