Everything leaves a mark. This concert is about the marks. A relationship after it ends. The thirteenth century surfacing in music written last year. A culture legible in the graffiti on a wall. The human hand in a world that is learning to make art without one. Three world premieres, including new work by Longy alum Christina George and current student Juniper Duncan, plus a premiere from Angélica Negrón. Byrne:Kozar:Duo (Longy faculty members and contemporary music specialists Corrine Byrne , soprano, and Andy Kozar , trumpet) also perform music written expressly for them by Taylor Brook, Marti Epstein, Sears Ahmad Farhat, and Alex Burtzos. Come hear a Longy student’s music get its first performance ever. Longy’s performance are free and open to the public, but please register in advance.
