Tlingit artist Kim Moberg was born in Juneau, Alaska and currently calls Cape Cod, MA home. Music was the constant in her childhood, helping her to adjust to the frequent moves associated with growing in a military family. Kim began playing guitar at age 14 but severe stage fright kept her from becoming a professional performer. In 2014 Kim set out to overcome her stage fright and wrote her first song. A strong believer that music brings us together and holds the power to affect change, Kim is an augural member of Club Passim’s The Folk Collective, an initiative founded in 2022 to present inclusive and equitable events that welcome and invite diverse audiences and artists to the Passim stage and beyond. She serves on the board of the Billy Conway Artist Fund, an organization who honors the late drummer by supporting Indigenous artists in Montana (a place where he loved to live). She is also the newest member of the Folk Alliance International’s Cultural and Equity Committee.
