Teen Write for Fright

Students in grades 6-12 are invited to celebrate spooky season at Write For Fright, a program spotlighting creative writing. Students will take part in a two sentence horror story challenge by using images from Young Adult book covers to craft their (extremely) short story. Writing submissions can be submitted online ahead of time or brought to the event. There will then be an opportunity to share their dark tales around a "campfire" to set the frightful mood. Winners will be selected in different categories but the true fun is in hearing all the amazing stories you create (in just two sentences!). Campfire snacks will of course be served as well. Whether you are an avid writer, just want to try something new, or want to hear students share their ideas, all teens are welcome to attend Write for Fright.
