Children's author Julie Koon will visit the library and read one of her wonderful picture books. Best for families and children ages 3 - 8, but open to all. Free and no registration needed. Held in the Children's Room. Julie Koon will be visiting all the Braintree Elementary Schools this year, to do writing and art projects with students. Sponsored by the Braintree Public Schools and the Braintree Early Education (BEE) Coalition. Julie Koon is a Massachusetts author and illustrator of books for kids. Her books include City Farm, The Struggle Bus, Willow's Hair and Breathe a Rainbow". She creates art using a variety of mediums, including colored pencils, gouache, watercolor, and an iPad. Julie creates expressive characters in a bright, whimsical style. Julie says, "I'm passionate about creating books that explore emotions and help children of all ages navigate their big, wide world."
