Central Library in Copley Square — 700 Boylston St., Boston, MA

Join us in the Makerspace Lab in Teen Central to design and sew your own ugly doll! Add a keychain clip to transform it into a backpack pendant charm. Never sewed before? Not a problem! This is a beginner project and will introduce several hand stictches that come in useful for garment repair, hemming, or replacing a button. All materials are provided. We hope to see you there! The Lab at Teen Central is the teen-exclusive digital makerspace at the Central Library in Copley Square. This space contains high performing iMacs and Alienware PCs — all with the Adobe Creative Cloud and other creative software —as well as 3D printers, an audio booth, sewing machines, Cricut cutting machines, and more! The Lab is open to all 6 th -12 th graders (or 12-17 year olds) who are interested in getting creative with technology. It is a resource for the teens of Boston and Massachusetts to explore new technology, gain 21 st century skills, express themselves creatively, and become better digital citizens.
