Battle of the Books — Charlestown Team

Calling all 4th-7th Graders! Battle of the Books is a national organization that hosts competitions around the country for kids to compete in teams based on their knowledge of books from a pre-set list. Charlestown’s team members will read 20 books between November and the final competition on March 10, 2027. If your child loves to read, please review the book list at https://tinyurl.com/bookbattle27 and register through BPL. PLEASE NOTE the books are designated for 7th-8th graders but kids as young as 4th grade may join the team so please make sure you’re comfortable with the list before registering your child. Meetings will be held on Wednesdays from 4:30-5:15 starting on Nov. 3 and ending with the final competition on March 10 (when we’ll meet for longer than our usual class time to host the “battle"). We will NOT meet on Nov. 11 (Veterans Day), Nov. 25 (day before Thanksgiving), Dec. 30 (winter break), or Feb. 17 (February break).
