Explore the art of metalsmithing with artist, designer, and jeweler Heather Beck. The copper ornament making workshop will teach you how to create your own drawings in metal with special tools and hammers. Come learn to stamp your favorite images, words and textures to create a truly unique holiday ornament that will light up any tree or window. You’ll learn proper hammer techniques, how to patina your ornament and share a wonderful class experience with your new friends. A large collection of different sized letter and number stamps and chasing tools will help you leave your mark on the world. While hammering your own drawing into the ornament, you’ll gain new knowledge, confidence and leave with a finished beautiful piece that will look stunning for the holidays. Heather Beck is a metalsmith & jeweler who loves teaching as much as she loves making custom work. She travels around to libraries all over the state to bring her bookmark, ornament, and keychain workshops to teen and adult crafters alike.
