Learn the Japanese art of Sashiko, whereby the sewist reinforces or decorates fabric using a running stitch. Catherine Karp, the instructor, has taught our visible mending classes in the past; if you've taken one, you know that she's a fantastic, experienced teacher. All supplies will be provided. If you have clothes to be mended, bring them along and work on them in class! This class is open to 12 students aged 15 and up. Please note these policies for our creative classes: For the first 48 hours, registration is open to Bolton residents only. After that, registration is open to everyone regardless of residence. If you are a nonresident, please go ahead and sign up; your registration will be reviewed after 48 hours and you'll be added to the class provided there are seats left. Nonresident registrations will be taken in the order received. For classes with paid, expert instructors, anyone who signs up then neither shows up nor notifies the library of cancellation at least 48 hours in advance will be blocked from signing up for future classes for a period of no less than 6 months.
