The Billerica Public Library, in collaboration with the University of Massachusetts Lowell and with funding from the Massachusetts Broadband Institute, is offering a free in-person Digital Literacy course designed for beginners who want to learn the basics of computer and internet use. This course will introduce participants to essential technology skills, including: -Creating and using an email account -Sending and receiving emails -Searching the internet effectively -Creating Word documents -An introduction to artificial intelligence (AI) tools. NOTE: Interpreters are available for this course and must be requested when registering. Participants who complete the course will receive a free Chromebook computer. The course will consist of six 2-hour sessions held on Saturdays September 19 through October 31 from 10:00am–12 :00pm in the 2nd floor Conference Room.
