Enter our literary pumpkin contest! Create a pumpkin with a literary connection whether a character, book cover, scene or author; get creative! Drop it off at the Reference Desk at the main library between October 21-23. Pumpkins will be on display on the second floor in front of the Circulation Desk. Voting will be open Saturday, October 24 and Sunday, October 25. First place wins a Copper Dog Books gift card. Questions? Sponsored by the Friends of the Beverly Public Library. Contest rules: No carved pumpkins please. Entries must reference a work of literature in some way. This can be a book cover, a character, or an author, etc. Be creative! The artwork must be original. The entry may include non-pumpkin components, but the main portion of the entry must be a pumpkin. Pumpkin must be in good condition. Any entries with mold or badly deteriorated will not be accepted.
