Your Eco Source, Belmont's local bulk refillery and low-waste general store, for a myth-busting community workshop exploring the real cost of single-use plastic — and how refill stores offer a smarter, more sustainable, and often more affordable alternative. Presented by Sophia Orr, a BU senior and EarthEcho International Marine Plastics Ambassador, this accessible, practical presentation explores not just the environmental impact of single-use plastic, but its potential effects on human health — and what simple swaps can do to reduce both. Walk away with concrete tips for cutting plastic, reducing your exposure to plastic-associated chemicals, and saving money on everyday essentials. Following the presentation, YES!
