Habitat Education Center and Wildlife Sanctuary — 10 Juniper Rd., Belmont, MA
With their bold personalities and flamboyant feathers, Wild Turkeys are iconic birds for a reason. Get and introduction to their world with free play at turkey-themed activity stations like sensory bins, puzzles, and coloring. Read a thematic storybook and sing some songs. Then, head outside for a short walk to look for turkeys and follow their tracks through the woods. Finish by making a turkey craft to take home as a keepsake of your adventure. This is a playful, relaxed opportunity to gently introduce your budding nature explorer to the outdoors while connecting with other caregivers in a welcoming environment. Meet in the Nature Center. This program has both indoor and outdoor components. Dress for the expected weather and wear comfortable footwear suitable for short walks.
