Music on Saturdays: Oktoberfest Jams

Saturday, October 10, 2026 · 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM

Underwood History Room - 232 — 336 Concord Ave., Belmont, MA

The Belmont Public Library is thrilled to welcome Sonny Barbato (accordion), Eric Goode (tuba), and Mike Piehl (drums), for an afternoon of Oktoberfest Jams . About the performers: Joe "Sonny" Barbato is a pioneering voice in jazz accordion and one of Boston's finest musicians. He began with accordion lessons from Louis Bregoli at the age of nine, and then switched to piano at thirteen. Later, he rediscovered his passion for accordion, expanding his repertoire to include pop, rock, country, and jazz. Dr. Eric Goode is an active freelance tuba player and music educator based in Boston, Massachusetts. He serves as Principal Tuba for the Boston Festival Orchestra and Cape Ann Symphony. Mike Piehl is a lifelong drummer. You may have heard him around Boston as part of the band Reverse. This event is generously sponsored by the Friends of the Belmont Public Library.
