Habitat Education Center and Wildlife Sanctuary — 10 Juniper Rd., Belmont, MA
Spend the morning with one of our most beautiful trees, no bathing suits or umbrellas needed. Start with a storybook and songs about trees, then spend some time at free-play stations including sensory bins, puzzles, sorting games, and coloring. Take a guided walk to our grove of beech trees to feel their smooth bark, look up into the winter branches, and notice how they stand out from its neighbors. Make a bark rubbing craft to take home as a keepsake from the winter woods. This is a playful, relaxed way to introduce your youngest nature explorer to the outdoors while connecting with other caregivers. This program takes place outdoors. More details on what to bring and expect will be emailed to you ahead of the program.
