For students looking for a more structured format for learning English. This group, led by Carolyn, offers an interactive opportunity to develop a range of skills over an 8-week period. Each week will include journal writing, short stories and articles for reading comprehension, and practice dialogues. The dialogues are drawn from everyday situations: taking public transportation, going shopping, or ordering food in a restaurant. Vocabulary and grammar will be drawn from these sources, and careful attention will be given to the pronunciation and rhythmic flow of spoken English. The primary objective is to create a relaxed and enjoyable environment in which to learn English. Interest in English learning opportunities has only risen over the last year, and the library does not want to turn anyone away due to lack of space. At this time, we are asking all interested English learners to only register for one conversation group at a time. You do not need to attend every session, but please choose the series that will allow you to attend the most meetings.
