Looking to brush up on your chess skills? Do you want to learn how to play? Chess enthusiasts and beginners alike are invited to join the Ashland Middle School Chess Club for an all-new Chess Academy! This is a relaxed, fun space and no prior chess experience or knowledge is required. For ages 7-12. Registration is requested! Starting 5/13/25, registration for children's events with limited space opens two weeks before the event date. If you can’t attend after registering, please cancel or contact the library at least 48 hours in advance. No-shows will lose registration privileges for one month. Please also arrive on time—those more than 10 minutes late may not be able to join due to missed introductions. This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Ashland Public Library.
