The Town of Amherst Public Health Department will be hosting a vaccine clinic offering Flu and COVID shots on Thursday, October 22 from 4:00 to 6:00 pm at the Bangs Community Center. Register Here! About the Clinic Vaccines are available for all Massachusetts residents ages 6 months and over. Vaccines are free, however please bring an insurance card if you have one. No one will be turned away due to lack of insurance. Registration is highly recommended because there is limited walk-in availability. About the Vaccines Pfizer COVID-19 vaccines and Flu vaccines, including both regular-dose and high-dose options will be available at the clinic. The 2026-2027 flu vaccine has been updated to protect against three seasonal influenza strains and is recommended for everyone aged 6 months and older. The updated COVID-19 vaccine is also available for all individuals 6 months and older and is especially recommended for children 6 to 23 months of age; anyone over 6 months of age who is immuno-compromised; adults 19 – 64 years of age and people who are pregnant.
