Join the Town of Amherst and the Amherst-Pelham Regional Public School District for a ribbon cutting ceremony celebrating the completion of the new Amethyst Brook Elementary School building! All are welcome! The event will include remarks from Massachusetts State Treasurer Deborah B. Goldberg, town officials, and community leaders as well as tours of the new building. RSVP Here Please RSVP by October 12th The new Amethyst Brook Elementary School consolidates the former Wildwood and Fort River Elementary Schools into a single state-of-the-art facility located on the Fort River site. Designed to serve students from kindergarten through fifth grade, the school features a three-story layout with a capacity of 575 students and five classrooms per grade level. This is the Town’s first net zero energy public building, utilizing ground source heat pumps and photovoltaic panels to provide 100% of its energy needs.
