In Amherst, we ring in the winter season with the Lighting of the Merry Maple. The tree illumination will take place on the North Common at 5 pm, but this is only one part of the event! Join us for a variety of free festivities from 3 to 6 pm then after you can shop, dine, and enjoy all that downtown has to offer! Schedule of Activities is coming soon! This event is Co-Presented by the Amherst Area Chamber of Commerce, the Amherst Business Improvement District (BID), and the Town of Amherst, and made possible thanks to the generous contributions of Supporting Sponsors Amherst College and UMass Amherst, as well as Contributing Sponsors TruNorth Bank and Edward Jones Office of Tim Hampson.
