Join the Town of Amherst in-person for hands-on design workshop. A series of fun, interactive activities will help us refine ideas for how new zoning of the Hampshire Campus can support Amherst’s housing, economic, and community goals. This design workshop is an opportunity for community members to explore zoning scenarios and provide direct input on future Hampshire Campus Zoning. All are welcome! Register Here! Learn more and register for the first event. The Hampshire Campus Zoning Study seeks to gather property information and community input that will guide new zoning. The information gathered will provide an understanding of the areas that are developable, the capacity of infrastructure (i.e. water, sewer, roadways), housing market demands, opportunities for economic development, and community goals. It is important to note that Hampshire College owns the land and will be making its own decisions about the ultimate disposition of the property and the timeline for making those decisions.
