Join DEI 413 Connect for its first community workshop on Generational Competence for Equity, taking place Wednesday, October 28, from 5:30–7:00 p.m. at the Bangs Community Center. DEI 413 Connect is a group of local Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion practitioners who come together quarterly to build connections, share knowledge, and strengthen equity-focused work across our communities. This interactive workshop will be led by Philip Avila, Assistant Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, and Pamela Nolan Young, Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, for the Town of Amherst. Participants will explore how understanding age, generational experiences, and intergenerational differences can help create stronger relationships, improve communication, support collaboration, and contribute to more equitable outcomes.
